Kevin Arnold Shiraz 2008
Deep purple colour, bordering on opaque. The nose shows ripe fruit of the forest and some heavy oak (vanilla in particular). Overwhelming rich fruit starts of on the palate, it surely is an ultra ripe package this. And big. Leathery notes adding some complexity to the mix. Ripe "grippy" tannins providing structure. Decently balanced, though warm finish. Stylistic as far as you can get from the Northern Rhône. (84/100)
Food pairing suggestion: powerful dishes as meaty casserolles or barbeque steak.
Producer: Waterford Estates
Not available on Vinmonopolet, however retailing at NOK 215,- at OSL. Somewhat expensive.
